Bristol City Council is radically changing the way it procures its ICT requirements. This will give greater opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to be involved in BCC ICT procurement activities.
In addition to the BCC new sourcing strategy, there will be an opportunity to hear from the Cabinet Office about the Government’s G-Cloud sourcing arrangements and understand how to get involved. Natural England’s procurement manager will also outline how SMEs can get involved in the ICT sourcing for Natural England. Finally, there will be an overview of Bristol City Council’s recently announced decision on rationalising its central buildings so far as it relates to ICT requirements.
The event is being held on 4 September in Bristol – for further information please go to http://www.connectingbristol.org/2012/08/15/information-day-on-councils-revised-ict-procurement-process-4-sept-register-now/ or http://bristolictsourcing.eventbrite.co.uk/
A really useful day at the ICT session – good mix of topics and range of speakers.
