Bristol City Council is developing its open data ecosystem.
We wish to procure an Open Data Infrastructure, which will form a collection of tools, systems and services that support and provide a location for the storage, analysis, visualisation, dissemination and use of a wide range of data, (both static and real-time or near real-time data).
Within this infrastructure will be (i)the core data store, (ii) The Bristol API, (transport and mobility data API), and (iii) two innovation pilots focussed on the creation of a ‘Citizen Data Commons’ and BCC’s approach to opening performance management and business intelligence data.
This opportunity refers to the initial procurement of a core data store (i) which lays the foundation for the councils work around open data, as well as laying the foundation for the further procurements (ii) and (iii).

Bristol City Council, Housing Delivery Team is looking to enter into a contract agreement for three years with a Property Void Security Company to ensure the properties are made safe and secure.
The Housing Delivery team provides homes for some 28 500 tenanted properties and 2 000 leaseholders across Bristol of which approximately 550 are void at any one time.
The majority of properties require no added security during the void period. However some will need additional security measures of varying degrees to prevent illegal entry and vandalism.
Contract Value is estimated to range between: £450,000 and £495,000 over a 4-year period with an optional one year extension which is at the discretion of Bristol City Council

The Council spends over £300million through procurement the of goods, services and works each year.
We are in the process of implementing our Social Value Policy and embedding this into our commissioning and procurement practice, the policy and complementary toolkit for providers and commissioners can be view here. The key aims and objectives for commissioning and procurement are:
If we are to make progress toward achieving these aims and objectives we need to understand the experience of providers with commissioning and procurement across the Council, identify what works well and key areas for improvement.
The responses to the survey inform an annually reviewed and updated commissioning development and action plan that we use to support the development of our activities, our practice and processes and where to focus our resources in the coming year.
